In my opinion everyone should be able to eat cake or a sweet treat. My moto, if you can imagine it, I can make it come true in sugar!!!

Hi! My name is Melissa and I am the owner of Mely's Sweets.
I started my baked goods business back in 2001, when I decided to take Wilton classes with my mom and sister. It was a time we could get together and have a great time. After the fist class I continued, and my mom and sister who I affectionately call cake class drop-outs, decided not to continue.
I found I had a real passion for baking and decorating. I had been baking since my time in 4-H, I actually had a loaf of bread auction off for over $100. I was amazed, lol.
So I started with my business, slowly at first, then earning more techniques I filled up my home with cake pans, and books, and so much decorating equipment that it is now taking over my kitchen and living room, and I love everything about it.
I make anything from wedding cakes, to cupcakes (my favorite), cake pops, and gluten free products. I can also accommodate special dietary needs.
I love what I do and I hope that you enjoy the sweets I provide. Its not work to me, its like having a dream job. I hope someday soon to open my bakery outside of my home. Just waiting for that dream to come true!! Please enjoy all that Mely's Sweets has to offer.
